What to write about

Bug reports (highest priority). If the compressor produced a broken file, stalled, or gave a result that didn’t match the target, please include:

• the page you were on and the settings you used (mode, target KB, format),
• the input file’s format, dimensions and size (not the image itself unless you’re comfortable sharing it),
• your browser and operating system,
• what happened versus what you expected.

Because images never leave your device, we can’t inspect a problem file unless you choose to attach it — the details above usually let us reproduce the issue anyway.

Format and feature requests. HEIC/AVIF input, ZIP downloads, a different resize mode — tell us the situation you needed it for and how often it comes up. Real workflows drive the roadmap.

Wrong or outdated information. Upload limits change — if a figure on the compress to KB page no longer matches a form’s actual rules, send the source and we’ll correct it.

Everything else. Site feedback, accessibility issues, partnership requests. Please include the URL of the page you’re writing about.

Before you write — two quick checks

A couple of questions answer themselves faster than email:

• “The tool can’t reach my KB target” — that’s usually a PNG hitting its lossless floor. Switch the output format to JPEG (or WebP) and try again; the formats guide explains why. If it still falls short, the result row shows the smallest achievable size.
• “My file won’t load at all” — HEIC (iPhone), TIFF and BMP aren’t supported as inputs. On an iPhone, Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible makes new photos save as JPEG.

What to expect

We’re a small team and a person reads every message — no ticket system, no autoresponder. Bug reports and corrections are usually answered within a few days; general feedback may take longer. Note that we can’t compress an image for you by email — that’s not stubbornness, it’s the architecture: this site has no image-processing server, which is also why using it is private. The compressor is always the fastest route.
